Tottenham Hotspur announced the singing of Victoria Pelova on Thursday. The Dutch international left Arsenal following the expiry of her contract.
“It feels nice to be here, I had a lovely welcome from everyone. When I had conversations with Martin, he was so good. It felt immediately right to go to Spurs,” said the 27-year-old midfielder. “I can’t wait for the season, and I’m so happy to be here.”
Manager Martin Ho said: “Victoria is a brilliant signing for us and someone who brings real quality, intelligence and top-level experience into our team.” He added that “what excites us is not only what she has already shown in her career, but also the belief we have that there is still much more to evolve in her game.”
Pelova’s carrer began in Holland with ADO Den Haag before joining Ajax. After picking up silverware there, she joined Arsenal. She played over 50 times for the club. Sadly, she missed large parts of the 2024/25 campaign with an ACL injury. Now in the right part of North London, she will be reunited for with former Ajax teammates Lize Kop and and Caitlin Dijkstra.
Victoria Pelova is the fourth Tottenham Women’s signing of the season. She follows the arrivals of Kirsty Hanson, Shekiera Martinez and Caitlin Dijkstra.
