Molly Bartrip has left Tottenham Hotspur Women after a two-decade-long history with the club. The centre-back has joined Crystal Palace on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee.
Bartrip represented Spurs 114 times. Part of her youth career was also spent at Tottenham, who she first played for aged 10 in the mid-2000s. After time in Charlton and Arsenal’s youth setups, Bartrip returned to Spurs at senior level from Reading, who she signed for in 2014.
The full, albeit provisional, list of Spurs 2026/27 WSL fixtures was released on Thursday. Tottenham Hotspur women begin their campaign at home to West Ham on Sunday, 6 September. The season will also end at home, with newly promoted Birmingham City the visitors. That game will take place on the weekend 22/23 May, with specific details to be confirmed.
Spurs have announced that Arsenal, Man Utd and Crystal Palace will visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. That means a return to N17 for former skipper Bethany England. Tottenham’s four opening matches of the season will be televised by Sky Sports.
Martha Thomas has left Spurs. The Scottish forward has joined WSL2 side Newcastle on a permanent deal, the clubs announced on Wednesday.
Thomas said: “I’m really excited, it’s a really big club to be able to play for and I just can’t wait to get started. I want to compete and play for the best teams. Team culture is really important to me and I think I bring some good attributes on that to help the team in the dressing room and push standards on the pitch.”
Spurs striker Cathinka Tandberg will wear number nine in the upcoming WSL season. She takes the shirt off Bethany England, who has joined Crystal Palace following the end of her contract at Spurs.
Alice Sombath has signed for Spurs Women from OL Lyonnes, the club announced today. The 22-year-old French international heads from Lyon to north London on a permanent deal, subject to international clearance and work permit.
Sombath can play at both right-back and centre-back, and was involved as Lyon won five consecutive league titles. She has represented France at every level from under-16 to the senior side, including playing in all four of their Euro 2025 matches, starting three. She has also played in the Champions League.
Bethany England has joined Crystal Palace, the club confirmed today. The former Spurs skipper heads to south London, following the end of her contract. She has signed a two-year deal with the Eagles, with the option for a one year extensions, and gets the number nine shirt.
Tottenham Hotspur announced the singing of Victoria Pelova on Thursday. The Dutch international left Arsenal following the expiry of her contract.
“It feels nice to be here, I had a lovely welcome from everyone. When I had conversations with Martin, he was so good. It felt immediately right to go to Spurs,” said the 27-year-old midfielder. “I can’t wait for the season, and I’m so happy to be here.”
Spurs announced the signing of Kirsty Hanson from Aston Villa on Wednesday. The 28-year-old forward joins on what is described as a long-term contract.
Commenting, Hanson, said: “I’m absolutely delighted, it’s an exciting time to be a part of this Club. I’m ready for a new challenge, and I’m always wanting to be better every single day. Martin (Ho), the Club, the staff, the players, are at such an exciting point – and I want to be a part of that.”

Andy Rogers is to step down as managing director of Tottenham Hotspurs Women’s team in the summer, the club announced on Friday. He is exiting after 24 years at Spurs, citing a desire to spend more time with his family.
Commenting on his departure, Rogers said: “My time as Managing Director of the Women’s team has been by far the most rewarding and inspiring – personally and professionally – of all my 24 years at this fantastic Club. I have loved working with an incredible group of staff and players, both past and present, who have been my life for the past three-and-a-half years.”
