Chelsea vs Spurs in the WSL is not exactly the trip Martin Ho and his players want to be making following their drubbing at home to London City Lionesses before the international break.

Martin Ho is WSL Manager of the Month for September 2026

Martin Ho has been named the WSL Manager of the Month for September 2026. It follows what was a fantastic start to the season for Tottenham Hotspur Women. Ho’s side began the season with a 3-1 thumping of West Ham, befor they came away from Merseyside with a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. They then proceeded to demolish Crystal Palace 0-7 and Aston Villa 4-0.

Given those results, it’s hard to argue against Ho deserving the accolade.

Spurs 1 – 6 London City Lionesses: What the Managers Said

Spurs 4 – 0 Aston Villa: What the Managers Said

Analysing the Spurs Women’s Start to the WSL 2026/27 Season

Tottenham Hotspur Women WSL 2026/27

Seven points from a possible nine is undoubtedly a good start to the WSL 2026/27 season for Tottenham Hotspur Women. They go into the weekend second in the table, two points behind Man City and ahead of Chelsea on goal difference.  

That goal difference of +9 is largely made up of the goals scored in the 0-7 thrashing of Crystal Palace last weekend. The Eagles fell apart in the second half and Spurs capitalised. After barely featuring in the first two games, Olivia Holdt returned to the starting lineup and scored a hat-trick at Selhurst Park.

Spurs 3 – West Ham 1: Martin Ho Reacts

Spurs manager Martin Ho spoke to the press after his side’s 3-1 win over West Ham on the opening day of the 2026/27 season.

An opener from Signe Gaupset followed by a brace from Kirsty Hanson saw the team cruise into a 3-0 lead. Conceding a late goal in added time was the only blemish on a very positive day. As the Spurs boss noted his side could have scored many more goals than they did.

Ho was generally pleased with the performance and highlighted the contribution of the debutants, not least Hanson. He also gave injury updates on Toko Koga and Alice Sombath.

Tottenham Hotspur Women 2026/27 Season Prediction

Tottenham Hotspur undoubtedly had a positive campaign last season. They finished “best of the rest” in fifth, behind the “big four” of Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.
